Artist Statement
With saltwater in my veins, rainforest in my bones, and sea-mist on my breath, I try to evoke the West Coast in my portraits of the mystical creatures that share it with us. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, I’ve always had a deep connection with this part of the world. My love of animals has recently led me into doing pet portrait commissions. Capturing peoples’ “fur babies” on paper is an endless source of joy for me.
