The Fernwood Art Stroll was formed in 2007 by local artists and artisans to invite the public into their studios and view their work.

Fernwood and Oaklands are neighbourhoods that are culturally diverse, with distinctive heritage architecture and a rich part of Victoria’s history.

The Art Stroll is a chance to visit with artists and artisans in their homes, studios and gardens at no cost.

After Covid forced us to cancel in 2020 and move to September in 2021, the stroll returned successfully to its usual early summer date in 2022, and is set to happen again on June 10 & 11, 2023. Stay tuned!

Many artists will be displaying their works out of doors (a bonus garden tour as you view great artwork). Artists may ask you to wear a mask, especially if they are inviting you inside their studios. Please have a mask with you, just in case, and be prepared to wait outdoors if there are too many people ahead of you.

Take a leisurely stroll along the tree-lined streets of Oaklands and Fernwood and enjoy refreshments at our wonderful cafes, famous bistros and landmark pub.

Many of the participating studios are open year-round by appointment.
