Driftwood, sea glass and shells are my creative medium. As I walk our Vancouver Island beaches I see in the shape, texture and grain of certain pieces of driftwood a scene or story emerging. I add colour, create depth, turn seaweed into a tree or a piece of wood panel into an ocean sunset. This new story connects the provenance of the objects with a whimsy, or with a promise for an imagined future.
