Artist Statement
My work is an exploration of life’s cyclical nature, akin to the delicate journey of a blooming flower. I’m interested in bridging the histories and memories of the nature of things. Just as a seed emerges from the soil, my art begins in the quiet depths of intention, reaching the light of expression. It unfolds gradually, petal by petal, each layer revealing something new, delicate, and full of potential. But with growth comes inevitable decay – every flower wilts, its vibrant colour fading, its form diminishing. The petals fall away, giving way to new possibilities of transformation, rebirth that mirror the endless cycle of creation to renewal. Through my work, I seek to capture this process, embracing the beauty in both the bloom and the fade, the birth and death, and the quiet hope that lies in every beginning.
